WANA (Dec 17) – Iran’s Embassy in the Netherlands emphasized that it does not recognize any individual, representative, company, or agency as official intermediaries for consular services. It reiterated that consular services abroad are legally provided solely by embassies and consular offices through their official consular staff.

The Iranian Embassy in the Netherlands issued a statement addressing Iranian nationals, stating:

“We would like to inform our compatriots that some individuals or entities, for personal gain and through online advertising, falsely present themselves as official agents or affiliates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or this Embassy.

As previously announced, consular services outside the country are legally within the jurisdiction of embassies and consular offices and are exclusively delivered by the official consular experts of these embassies.

Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and this Embassy do not recognize any individual, representative, company, or agency as authorized intermediaries.

We urge all fellow Iranians to exercise caution and remain vigilant in this regard.”
